    At Jaco Car Rental, we believe that the journey should be just as enjoyable as the destination. That’s why we’ve crafted a booking and payment process that ensures a stress-free experience from start to finish. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a solo escape, or a romantic getaway, you can rely on us to provide you with a hassle-free booking process and a seamless payment experience. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we’re here to help you make the most of your journey.

    1. Get in Touch: Fill out the form on this page or, if you prefer, contact us through WhatsApp, email, or Facebook, providing your travel dates, preferred vehicle pickup and return times, and your desired pickup and return locations; as well as any specific requirements.
    2. Prompt Response: Expect a reply within 24 hours to your inquiry.
    3. Document Submission: Once you’re satisfied with the quote, kindly share a photo of your driver’s license, along with licenses for all additional drivers. Include your contact number (preferably with WhatsApp) and email address.
    4. Formal Rental Agreement: Upon receipt of your information, we’ll send you a comprehensive rental agreement via email. This agreement encompasses all the details and fees – no surprises.
    5. Booking Deposit: To secure your reservation, a $200 booking deposit is required. This deposit secures your reservation, as we never double book. For your convenience, we use PayPal as our preferred method for booking deposit payment, offering hassle-free processing with the option of Guest login and ensuring prompt, near-instantaneous refunds – a superior alternative to traditional bank procedures.
      Upon pickup, the security deposit process varies based on your choice of vehicle and insurance coverage:

      • If you’ve opted for CDW coverage, an additional $500 hold will be placed on your credit card. This brings the total security deposit to $700.
      • If you’ve chosen TPP, no additional deposit is required at pickup.
      • For camper rentals, an additional $800 hold will be placed on your credit card, bringing the total security deposit to $1000.
      • If you prefer to use an alternate payment method for the deposit, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate.
      • Rest assured, your deposit will be promptly refunded on the day of vehicle return. While we initiate the refund immediately, please note that banks may take up to 7 business days to process it, although usually it completes within 1-2 days.
      • Once the deposit is received and your confirmation is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email.
    6. Pickup Arrangements: As your rental period approaches, we’ll coordinate pickup arrangements based on your preference – whether it’s at the airport, your hotel, or another location within our service area. If picking up the vehicle at the airport, please let us know your flight number, so we could track any last minute changes or delays.
    7. Smooth Pickup: On the day of pickup, we’ll have your vehicle ready and waiting for you. Our driver will contact you once he’s at the pickup location. We’ll conduct a brief vehicle orientation and provide you with essential information about driving in Costa Rica.
    8. Flexible Payment Options: The remaining rental fee will be settled upon pickup. We gladly accept USD and CRC in cash, as well as credit cards, debit cards and PayPal for your convenience.
    9. Enjoy Your Rental: With keys in hand, you’re all set to explore the beauty of Costa Rica. Remember, we’re just a message away if you need any assistance during your journey.
    10. Return Process: At the end of your rental period, return the vehicle to the agreed-upon location. We’ll perform a quick inspection to ensure the vehicle is in good condition. This only takes a few minutes.
    11. Prompt Deposit Refund: Once the inspection is complete and all terms are met, we promptly refund your deposit via the method it was received – be it cash, credit card, debit card, or PayPal. With credit and debit cards, the timing of the hold release may vary based on your bank.
